I was shocked to find such a good Colombian restaurant in Boca Raton. Their empanadas Colombianas are delicious, and I could tell that they were fresh out of the fryer. The aji that comes with it is addicting. I had the Sancocho de Gallina which is one of my all time favorite soups. I can't wait to come back!

Best Colombian place in South Florida. I have gone to several, but none like this place. The owners are super kind and their food is made with love.

I had their empanadas and I have to say...they were some of the worst if ever had. They are the only colombian place in the area so I think it's the reason they are still arround

Florida cuisine. It's as exciting as all the strip malls dotting Glades these days So Dad and I are going to the Original Pancake House, but there is a huge line. We walk around to find this Colombian restaurant. The omelette will have to wait Normally I describe the restaurant in reviews but We sat in one of the three tables outside. We were greeted by a gentleman who described the restaurant A word about the service: it's slow yet charming. Three different people served us. The meal was protracted, but the waiter/waitresses were all really nice The food was surprisingly good. First the coffee leche was really tasty. We ordered the chicken, pork dish with rice and potatoes However, tamales with this incredibly tasty hot sauce was served as as appetizer. Fried and delicious....then again what isn't good when fried, but this packed with chicken and potato As part of our Columbian brunch, we were served flatbread with some kind of cheese. The bread was grilled so it had a nice crunch The main dish was that aforementioned dish served in a banana leaf....really well done. I smothered it in my new favorite hot sauce.... So didn't get my omelette, but this meal was far more interesting and enjoyable....with no wait either

The food here is delicious, and everyone who works there is so friendly and sweet. They have chicken, beef, and cheese empanadas and they taste incredible! We ordered a big tray for our baby shower a few weeks ago and they were a big hit! The arepas are also delicious.

I love when I go back to a place and they make me update my review to a more positive one. I've been to Rancheritos twice after my first review. Did not write this right away because I wanted to make sure the change was real and consistent. Today I experienced it is. I went at lunch time, around 1:30pm. Immediately greeted buy a guy organizing and cleaning the tables. None were dirty this time, and all customers seated had their meals and voiced out how good their food was. I was ordering to go so, I went straight to the counter. Not even 5 seconds and was helped by the lady there. Not only did they have exactly what I wanted, she also offered me options (chicken or beef for empanadas, arepas as a side to another order, lemon for flavor, etc). The Aji (empanada sauce) was so much better than that first time I went. It had heat, and flavor of all the ingredients in it. The Empanadas also had the right amount of filling and thankfully did not taste like old cardboard. Very impressed, and happy, with how good they've turned this place around... Plus the great, friendly service. I'll definitely be going back.

I have never eaten here, but I always stop by to get some Columbian pastry....they make delicious yuca bread (which I am highly obsessed with) and ahhhh their cookies are simply amazing and they literally melt in your mouth. Plus, the staff is super kind!

Great food during breakfast. Kids loved it. Very typical!

I had dinner here with my family and loved it! We all picked different entrees and appetizers on the menu and everything was wonderful, the empanadas and arepas were fresh. Very friendly service. I took home a guava pastry from the bakery and it is fabulous. The Bakery has a good assortment of Colombian/spanish pastries. Please check this place out. My next visit will be breakfast since they open at 8 daily

Came here with my mom at about 8 pm on a saturday. She mentioned that she saw it in the area and we should give it a try. Only a few empty tables as we walked in. The atmosphere was different because of all the Spanish around us. After glancing at the variety on the menu. Having never been there before, our waiter (who is also the owner) recommended us beef churrasco, which I ordered as well as my mom. I also chipped in and ordered 2 empanadas. Our empanadas never came, but its a good thing the didn't. Our large flank steak came out on a sizzling metal plate with onions in a garlic sauce. It didn't stop there, along with the steak came a small salad in a light lemon dressing, french fries, and rice. All of it was excellent. And to top it off, they have their own bakery with delicious pastries, cookies, and bread. Excellent customer service. Great food and a reasonable price.

This place is by far my favorite Colombian restaurant. Their food is so delicious!! My favorite is the cheese they put on top of their arepas & the sauce they serve with their empanadas which are also great!

I wasn't in the mood for anything too spicy or heavy, so I decided to try the Colombian restaurant as I know this style of cuisine is relatively bland for most dishes. Rancheritos is very close to my house and have heard so many good things about. Was thinking this is the perfect opportunity to introduce my pre-teen daughter to another ethnic food. THE SERVICE When we arrive we were greeted promptly and told to sit anywhere. We were the only ones at the restaurant at this time. Within 5 minutes 3 other parties of 4 showed up and were seated. Each of the other parties were speaking Spanish, which is usually a good sign when the people match the food. The single waitress waited on each of the other 3 tables first, before taking our drink order, even though we were the first to arrive. I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time. After she gave us our drinks, she then took all the other tables orders. Another party walked in, and she waited on them before returning to us. At this point I was feeling like we were being left our because we were not Spanish speaking. My daughter kept asking me if we need to go up to the cash register to order, and I kept reassuring her that the waitress will take our order. Finally, when we were waited on I decided to order Empanadas and an Arepa with Fried Pork Skin as appetizers. The children's portion of the menu was only in Spanish. Although I know some Spanish, I didn't know all of the words, so I asked for help. There was a photo of sliced sausages which my daughter wanted and the waitress confirmed that was what was on the children's menu. So I ordered that for my daughter. I asked the waitress to choose the very best item on the menu for me, since it was my first time. She told me their best dish was Churrasco. I have had that many times before, but decided to order anyway since it was their signature dish. The menu says everything is prepared to order and will take 16 minutes. I thought it was funny that they didn't write 15 minutes. So I was prepared to wait. THE FOOD Much to my surprise, the Empanadas arrived within 3 minutes, followed by the Arepa with Fried Pork Skin a couple of minutes later. Although we ordered last, we were the first ones to get our food. So I was thinking that all was good. We had 2 chicken and 2 beef Empanadas. Although the flavor was good they were room temperature at best. Every time I had Empanadas in the past, they were always served hot (in both restaurants and at my friend's house who is Colombian), so I was disappointed. On the good side, my daughter was introduced to Empanadas and liked them. The Arepa was COLD, dry hard on the bottom and so rubbery I couldn't hardly cut it in half with a knife to share with my daughter. She and I both took one bite and no more. I love Arepas. So for me to not eat it really says how bad it was. The Fried Pork Skin was far below average and not at all crispy like you would expect. My daughter, who can each bacon for 3 meals a day if I let her, took one bite of the Fried Pork Skin and didn't want any more. Clearly, the food we got was not prepared fresh. The main dishes were ready before we finished our Empanadas, so much much faster than the 16 minutes. When the main dishes came out, my daughter had hot dog and fries. Not what we were expecting, not what was in the photo in the menu and not how the waitress translated, in my opinion. Also, not the ethnic food experience I was hoping for her. My Churrasco was average. I gave 1/2 of it to my daughter to eat, so she didn't need to eat the hot dog and fries. Just as we were completing our meal, the other 3 tables were just being served. I suspect, their food was freshly prepared. SUMMARY I can overlook the questionable service and that we were perhaps ignored because we were not Spanish speaking. But the food not being good, cannot be overlooked. I would have given 1 star if my daughter didn't like the Empanadas. It pains me to have to give a 2-star, but it is a fair review as the food is quite poor.

My Peruvian friend took me here because she saw a flyer with a picture if the whole fried fish in it. That would be dinner. I had a meat dish, almost a side-sliced brisket steak dinner. I'm not sure but it was mouth-watering delicious....cut with a fork in light oil, with a bunch if veggies. Side plate of salad and rice included. It was excellent. My friend had the whole fried fish from head to tail. I had some bites. It was large , thick, tasty and......I'm ready to go to Peru!!! Service was average and friendly. Seems like a family operation which I prefer over any if the franchises here. Furniture is informal. With the linoleum flooring and booths , chairs and tables, it reminds me if a country restaurant in New England. Seeing a family working together -or they look like a family - us very welcoming. Prices are perfect on my budget. They have a website. I'll be back next week. Really quite a pearl in the rough. Awesome food, informal decorations.

I'm Colombian and this is where I go get my Colombian fix. The juices are great, the patacones are too and they do have a mean bandeja paisa! I take my daughter for the pandebono and the staff already knows here there, she loves it! We are far enough from Miami that finding Colombian food could be a challenge but thank goodness this place exists and is great!

Never going back and I am a Colombian! Service SUCKS! Make sure you block out 2 hours of your day because that is how much time you will need to wait for your order to arrive to the table, ( I only ordered a tamale!!!!) then you have to rush to eat it because as most americans, we have jobs to get to! And get this ... if you order empanadas in the restaurant, they will give you a small cup of the "aji" hot sauce per empanada, order twelve (12) to go and they only give you 6 little cups of "aji" hot sauce. When you ask for more ( one per empanada) they tell you, you do not get one little cup of "aji" hot sauce per empanada!!!!!!!! When I asked if I could buy a few extra they told me it would be $4.00!!!! Thank God there are so many other great Colombian restaurants around that WILL give you more than enough "aji" hot sauce...If you want to get really pissed off and agitated, go to the Rancheritos de Boca they will do it!!!. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
